I was crowned Miss Hawai’i USA 2018 on November 19th. I was always a runner up year after year. I remember thinking that maybe Miss Hawaii USA was not for me. I am SO glad I did not give up on my dream. I competed for the title for the 5th time and told myself that this time I was going to leave my heart on the stage. I wanted to show the world the real Julie Chu. I can’t believe I now will be competing for Miss USA 2018 on May 21st in Shreveport, Louisiana 🤩. Please wish me luck and tune in to @khonnews at 7pm (Hawai’i) and @foxtv at 8pm CT to watch me compete for Miss USA 2018! #themanamovement #chUSA #misshawaiiusa #missusa #missuniverse #roadtomissusa
