Bryce Armstrong is the reigning Miss District of Columbia USA and will be competing in the upcoming Miss USA pageant. The 21-year-old D.C. native succeeds Kara McCullough, who won Miss USA 2017 and finished Top 10 at Miss Universe 2017. If Armstrong is able to win the Miss USA title, she would be the third consecutive Miss District of Columbia USA to bring home the crown. Prior to McCullough’s win in 2017, Deshauna Barber claimed the title in 2016, before going on to finish Top 9 at Miss Universe.
Armstrong has a love for baking which led to her opening her own business baking and decorating cakes and other sweets for events around the Washington, D.C. area and along the East Coast. She also volunteers for SOME (So Others Might Eat), which is an organization that tackles the homeless issue in the nation’s capital.
Miss USA takes place Monday, May 21 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. The pageant will air live on FOX. The Miss Universe pageant will take place at a yet-to-be-determined date.
