Kate Abdo is an English presenter, journalist and TV host who works for Sky Sports News and Fox Soccer.
Abdo, who was born in Manchester, England, studied at Withington Girls’ School and later graduated from the University of Salford with a BA in European Languages.Before moving to London, Abdo lived in Spain, France and Germany. She is fluent in Spanish, French, German and English.
Following college, Abdo anchored the World Sport program from London twice a day and had anchored sports at DW-TV, a German TV channel. In July 2009, Abdo joined CNN.
Abdo has interviewed sporting greats such as Clarence Seedorf, David Ginola, Jackie Stewart, Lawrence Dallaglio and Daniel ‘Lethal Rizzle’ Risdon. In August 2011 she left CNN and joined Sky Deutschland, where she was an anchor for the Sky Sport News HD TV channel.
In July 2013, Abdo began hosting on Sky Sports News in the United Kingdom and hosted the Coppa Italia on Sky Sports. In January 2015, she hosted the 2014 FIFA Ballon d’Or ceremony speaking with contestants and guests in four languages. She was also a host for the 2015 FIFA Ballon d’Or. In January 2017, Abdo made her debut on FS1 during the FA Cup 3rd round replay between Plymouth Argyle & Liverpool.
Currently, Abdo is probably best known as the host of FS1’s soccer coverage and her stunning good looks.
