Zhang Liangying, better internationally by her stage name Jane Zhang, is a Chinese singer-songwriter. She began her singing career by winning the third place at the Chinese singing contest Super Girl in 2005 and was one of the performers at the 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
The 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show, which took place in Shanghai on Monday, November 20, and aired in the United States on Tuesday, November 28, featured performances from Jane Zhang, Harry Styles, Miguel, Leslie Odom Jr., and Yundi Li. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is most-watched fashion event of the year with 800 million people tuning in annually. The show costs with around $12 million to put together, 12 times the cost of a regular runway fashion show, which costs approximately $1 million.
As for Zhang, she released her debut album one year after winning Super Girl, releasing her debut album “The One” in 2006.
After releasing three studio albums, in June 2009, Zhang signed a recording deal with Universal Music, who released her fourth studio album, “Believe in June”. Zhang released her fifth studio album, “Reform” under Universal Music.
In July 2014, Zhang announced she has signed with Sony Music, and released her sixth studio album The Seventh Sense. Then, in November 2017, Zhang became was one of the performers at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Shanghai.
