Famed co-found of rock band ‘Steely Dan’ Walter Becker passed away today at the age of 69. Becker left behind a legendary career ranging from the 1970s to present day. Steely Dan was a blend of rock, jazz, R&B and pop. They made song about hot and controversial topics, including recreational drugs, gambling, love affairs, and crime.
Steely Dan broke up in 1981, as Becker moved out to Hawaii and became a record producer. In 1993, the band got back together with the original two members (Walter Becker and Donald Fagen). In 2000, the band won four Grammy Awards for their eighth studio album Two Against Nature.
