I’m a big Hailey Baldwin guy, but I had zero clue she was this popular. Who would have thought that the daughter of the dude from f*cking Bio-Dome would turn out to be a sex symbol? 2017 at it’s finest.
Baldwin’s attitude might be her greatest asset. When she says, “At the end of the day, I don’t need people’s approval,” you believe her. That said, plenty of people do approve. In fact, the last year has seen Baldwin, who began modeling at age 17, transcend her last name, making her mark on the fashion world while gracing the pages of Vogue, Elle, and V.
Now the rising star is preparing for a transition to television as a host of James Corden’s upcoming reality comedy series, Drop the Mic, which pits celebrities against each other in rap battles (it debuts on TBS this fall). To Baldwin, following in her family’s footsteps was a natural progression.
Baldwin, born in Tucson, Arizona, in 1996, is the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin (the youngest of the Baldwin brothers) and graphic designer Kennya Deodato Baldwin. The first modeling agency Baldwin signed for was New York agency Ford Models. Baldwin nitially appeared in magazines such as Tatler, LOVE, V and i-D.
Her first commercial campaign was for the clothing brand French Connection in the winter of 2014. In October 2014 Baldwin made her runway debut walking for Topshop and French fashion designer Sonia Rykiel.
In January 2015 Baldwin was photographed for American Vogue and in March for Teen Vogue. In April she was involved in a shot for her first magazine cover for Jalouse Magazine. In July 2015 she was featured in a Ralph Lauren commercial advertising, which also featured Australian singer Cody Simpson, and in October will return to walk on the runway for designers Tommy Hilfiger and Philipp Plein. Also in 2015, Baldwin was signed to the modeling agency Heroes Models.
At just 20-years-old, Baldwin is the youngest ever to best listed atop the Maxim Hot 100, along with Jessica Alba in 2001 and Miley Cyrus in 2010.
