For the past few weeks, we’ve been putting our awesome Miss COED 2017 semifinalists in the spotlight, and now we’ve come to our last (but certainly not least) contestant, Abbie Edwards.
The junior from West Virginia University is studying Health Communications with minors in Business and Advertising. She hopes to become a medical sales rep and live somewhere close to the beach. TBH, those are some solid goals.
Get to know more about Abbie below, and be sure to check back on Wednesday, 1/25 at 3 PM EST to cast your votes for the Miss COED 2017 semifinals.
If you could travel anywhere in the world for Spring Break, where would you go?
If I could travel anywhere for Spring Break, it would be Australia! I’ve always wanted to go. It looks beautiful.
What’s your favorite school tradition?
My favorite school tradition is the playing of “Country Roads” after every win! No matter what sport, after a win comes “Country Roads.”
Who do you look up to the most and why?
I look up to my mom the most. She has been a single mom raising me and my sister. She’s been through some pretty hard situations, and I don’t know how she has done it.
Name one thing on your bucket list.
Bucket list #1 — SKY DIVING!!! I’m terrified, but after someone pushed me or made me go, I know I would love it.
Which organization on campus are you most passionate about and why?
I’m interested in joining the WVU Marketing Club. I think it would be great experience for what I want to do later in life.
Cliché, but where do you see yourself in five years? Ready, set, go!
In five years, I see myself graduated, working as a medical device sales rep, living somewhere hot that has a beach, and maybe married in a cute little house.
What’s your most memorable moment at school?
One of the many memorable moments I’ve had at WVU was one night being the DD. I was driving, and it started raining. A group of about eight girls were walking downtown and were getting soaked. My friend and I yelled at them to jump in. Somehow they all squeezed in and we all sang (yelled) “It Wasn’t Me” by Shaggy all the way downtown.
Give your BFF a shoutout! What’s his/her name and how long have you been besties?
Rachel Samples!!! The best friend I’ve ever had. She went from being my cheer captain freshman year of high school to my first college roomie. I don’t know where I’d be without her.
Do you have any secret talents?
I can yodel.
