Last night, Deshaun Watson and the Clemson Tigets defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 35-31 thanks to a last second touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson.

While some may be surprised by Watson’s dominance in the last two national title games, Watson himself is anything but. In fact, Watson predicted his dominating title game performances years ago.

First, in 2012:

If I get a chance to play in a national championship game, Imma go ham.

— Deshaun Watson (@DeshaunWatson4) February 5, 2012

Then again in 2013, almost four years to the day before his first National Championship victory:

Me. In a National Championship Game. I'm just waiting on that moment.

— Deshaun Watson (@DeshaunWatson4) January 8, 2013

It’s a shame his career ends in April when he gets drafted by the Cleveland Browns.
