The Clemson Tigers have had themselves a hell of a 2016-2017 college football season, making it all the way to the National Championship Game against the University of Alabama, the exact same team they played against (and lost to) in last year’s Championship Game. The Tigers finished the regular season 11-1 then beat Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship, giving themselves a berth in the CFB Championship semi-final game against Ohio State.
And what happened in that Ohio State game? Only a 31-0 beatdown on OSU’s Coach Urban Meyer, the first time he’s ever been shut out in an FBS bowl. It made for some phenomenal memes afterward.
As for the championship, Clemson fans aren’t letting last year’s result get them down. If anything, it’s getting them more excited to play! Last year’s Alabama team was more dominant than this year’s and the Clemson Tigers had more than a few opportunities to win the game. Sprinkle another year of experience for QB Deshaun Watson on top of a dominant win over Ohio State University and the Tiger fans are #AllIn.
