If you’ve been looking at the meme market as closely as we have, you’ll know that Kermit the Frog memes have been the breakout story for 2016. First, the “Kermit Sipping Tea” memes reached an all-time high when Lebron James wore one on a hat after winning an NBA Championship, and now the green frog is back with a late entry for the title of meme of the year. We’re referring, of course, to the “Evil Kermit” aka “Hooded Kermit” meme that’s being seen on everyone’s timeline.
What is the “Evil Kermit” meme? Well it’s the devil inside us all, the awful voice in our head that tells us to do stupid things even though we know we shouldn’t. The source of the photo comes from the movie Muppets Most Wanted, specifically the scene where Kermit meets Constantine, his evil, Russian lookalike.
