Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock are the two most fearless black comedians of their generation when it comes to the subject of race in America, and last night they joined forces to show why black people weren’t as surprised by Donald Trump’s victory as the many urbane white people who live in a liberal bubble.
If there was ever a time we needed Dave Chappelle to host Saturday Night Live and dole out some real talk, this was it. It was a privilege to have Chappelle back on our television screens, if only for one night.
