Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal are starring in the upcoming space thriller, Life. Not to be confused with that old Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy movie, this film is about coming in contact with an alien life form that turns out to be a real dickhead. Life will hit theaters on May 24, 2017, and you can check out the official trailer below.

Space, so hot right now. Space. Hollywood is pumping out space movies like crazy these days, but they keep making a shit ton of money and getting rave reviews. I guess if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It looks like they’ve got another winner on their hands too, as I was getting Alien vibes watching Reynolds bust out that flamethrower.

Life is directed by Daniel Espinosa, who previously worked with Reynolds on 2012’s Safe House. No disrespect to Espinosa, but I’m much more excited that¬†Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese wrote the script for Life. This is the duo that penned Reynolds’ monster hit Deadpool, and they also wrote Zombieland back in 2009.
