Google Home features

New Google technology is on the horizon as Google Home was introduced at the company’s hardware event today. Google Home is a portable voice activated speaker that is powered by the Google Assistant, which can now answer questions and have two-way conversations. Google Home is Google’s answer to Amazon’s Echo, another portable speaker that is voice activated. The product was unveiled earlier this year at Google’s developer conference, but now the details of the product have finally been unveiled.

Mario Queiroz, VP Product Management at Google and one of the people behind Chromecast, said, “When I walk into my house, I should be able to interact with the Google Assistant. This is why we’re creating Google Home.”

Google Home Price & Release Date

Google Home will cost $129 and will ship on November 4, 2016. The purchase of Google Home will include a free six-month trial of YouTube Red.

Google Home Compatible Services

In addition to Youtube, Google Home will be compatible with Spotify, Pandora, Google Play, Tunein, Chromecast, Nest, Works with Smart Things, Phillips Hue, IFTT, and Chromecast.

Google Home Features

Audio Command – The ability to command your audio with a simple voice request.

Ask it Anything – Get real answers to weather, sports scores, traffic, and any other question you might need.

Touch Controls – The top touch surface gives you control of the device, and the mute button allows you to turn off the microphones at any time.

Voice Control Smart Devices – Sync Google Home to programs such as Phillips Hue and Nest to set the temperature of the room or to turn down the lights.

Customizable Bases – Choose from over six bases in seven different colors with in order to match any space or decor. Just simply twist and pull off the button and replace it with any color of your choosing.
