Ravens vs. Jaguars: What Time, TV Channel & Preview

The beginning of the 2016 NFL season has brought a few surprises. The records of the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars would rank right up there. The Ravens are 2-0 while the Jaguars are 0-2 so far for the young season. The two teams will get together in Jacksonville on Sunday with a chance for the two teams to show something to the rest of the AFC. Can Baltimore get to 3-0? Will Jacksonville play better and win a game? Here is a look at the matchup.

The Ravens rallied for a 25-20 win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2. Joe Flacco has thrown for 560 yards and three touchdowns while finding tight end Dennis Pitta 12 times for 141 yards. The team has used Mike Wallace effectively as well with three of his seven catches going for touchdowns. The run game is not so hot yet with a combination of Justin Forsett and Terrance West and will need to improve against the Jaguars. This will be a tough test against Blake Bortles for the Ravens defense. This has the potential to be a shootout if Baltimore can’t slow Bortles down.

The Jaguars got rolled over 38-14 by the San Diego Chargers and didn’t look good at all during the loss. Bortles has thrown for 649 yards and three touchdowns for the season while also having three interceptions. The run game has stalled with T.J. Yeldon having just 67 yards on the ground on 28 carries with a touchdown. It’s all about the pass game and Bortles looking for Allen Hurns, Allen Robinson and Julius Thomas who each have nine catches. This is another game with Bortles will need a huge game with a defense that hasn’t played very well over the first two weeks.
