Colts vs. Chargers: What Time, TV Channel & Preview

Fans of the San Diego Chargers and Indianapolis Colts would love to see their teams turn things around during this 2016 season before it is too late. The two teams will meet on Sunday afternoon with the Chargers at 1-1 and the Colts still winless at 0-2. A battle of great quarterbacks with Philip Rivers and Andrew Luck is expected and with those two gunslingers, there is a possible high-scoring game on the horizon. Here is a look at the matchup.

The Chargers hammered the Jacksonville Jaguars 38-14 last week and now hit the road looking to get above the .500 mark. Rivers has passed for 463 yards and five touchdowns for the season while hitting Travis Benjamin 13 times for 147 yards and two of those touchdowns. The pass game is depleted some with Keenan Allen out for the season but Benjamin is turning into a favorite Rivers target. Melvin Gordon has 159 rushing yards and three touchdowns and looks much better this year than his rookie year. It will be a big test for the San Diego defense to see if they can slow Luck down after his outing at home in Week 1 against Detroit.

The Colts lost 34-20 to the Denver Broncos but have a chance to turn things around here in Week 3. Luck struggled in Week 2 but has 582 passing yards and five touchdowns for the year. T.Y. Hilton has been the man that Luck wants to find a lot with 23 targets in 87 attempts. Hilton has just ten catches for 120 yards however. Frank Gore is still chugging away with 103 yards on the ground for the season but this game will border on which defense shows up. The Colts defense has given up points in bunches all year long and this game may not be any different.
