Seahawks vs. Rams: Date, Kickoff Time, TV Channel & Preview

Sunday afternoon will bring back a football tradition to Los Angeles that hasn’t been there in over two decades as the Rams return home to face the Seattle Seahawks at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The NFC West rivals are now much closer in distance from each other after the Rams moved back to Los Angeles from St. Louis. The two teams are heading in two different directions after Week 1 and will be hoping to fix things up in Week 2. Here is a look at the matchup.

The Seahawks survived with a 12-10 win over the Miami Dolphins. Russell Wilson got hurt and will be limited in this one but threw for 258 yards and a touchdown. Doug Baldwin is clearly Wilson’s favorite target with nine catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. The running game is a committee still, with Thomas Rawls and Christine Michael. It will be worth watching to see which one gets the most carries in this game. The defense stopped Miami with reckless abandon last week and now gets a Rams team that was terrible in Week 1. A shutout is very possible.

The Rams couldn’t dent the scoreboard in a 28-0 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Case Keenum threw for just 130 yards and had two interceptions. Todd Gurley had only 47 yards rushing on 17 carries and the whole offense looked bad. The time may have arrived to just go to No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff sooner than later especially if this game goes badly. The defense had no answers last week for San Francisco and now has to deal with the pressure of the first home game and a talented Seattle team. This could get very ugly if Gurley and the offense can’t produce early and often.
