Cowboys vs. Giants: What Time, TV Channel & Preview

There is nothing like an NFC East battle between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys. The two teams have fought each other for a long time for the leadership of their division and the two teams will open the 2016 season against each other in Dallas looking for the first step ahead of the other. Injuries will hamper the Cowboys in this one while the Giants still have their star wide receiver in Odell Beckham ready to have a huge opening day. Here is a look at the matchup.

The Giants were simply awful on defense last season which cost them any chances at a division title. Eli Manning is ready to look for his third Super Bowl ring and found Beckham quite a lot last season, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. This game may be a battle to outscore the Cowboys though and with Dallas having major injury problems, 28-30 points should be enough to win this game. Rashad Jennings can take care of the rest in the run game for the Giants. This should end up being a solid way to start the new season for the NFC team in the Big Apple.

Tony Romo is out for at least the first half of the season for the Cowboys. This team will need rookies Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott to keep them afloat early on which will be a very tall task for the newcomers to overcome. Dez Bryant is still around but the offense must be much better than it was last season when Romo was out. The defense was solid in 2015 but must step up even more to begin 2016. This is going to be a very hard game for Dallas to win but anything is possible in front of a huge home crowd on Opening Day.
