Best PS4 Games: Top 5 Best New Games Coming Out In August 2016

Since Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End dropped in May, big-time PS4 exclusives have been hard to come by. That ends in August, when two games you won’t find on the Xbox OneThe King of Fighters XIV and No Man’s Sky — drop on the Sony console. Sports fans are also in for a treat, as F1 2016 and Madden NFL 17 help amp you up for racing and football seasons. And not to be overlooked is the stealthy cyberpunk thriller Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

5. The King of Fighters XIV

To a certain cult subset of fighter fans, this franchise has always lived up to its name, fending off the likes of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat over the decades. After years of dormancy, the visually bewildering and hyper-intense 2D fighter is back, complete with re-imagined graphics, insane new combos and finishers and an online system capable of rivaling any of the marquee fighters.

4. F1 2016

Worldly open-wheel racing fans look down their noses at the simplicity of NASCAR. This game helps you see what all the hype is about by letting you take the wheel and battle twist-and-turn-filled courses that span the globe. The series has shaken off its outdated mechanics to take on more realistic damage and weather effects. This year’s entry should place it alongside the top-tier offerings of EA Sports.
