emmy nominations

The 2016 Emmy nominees were announced by Anthony Anderson and Lauren Graham on July 14, 2016 live at 11:30 AM on the Emmy website.

The 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will honor the best television of the year, from June 1, 2015 until May 31, 2016, as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The ceremony is being held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, and will be broadcast in the U.S. by ABC. The ceremony will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Just like last year, the HBO smash hit Game of Thrones has the most nominations.

List year’s Emmy Awards were sure memorable. Game of Thrones set a new record by winning 12 awards, the most for any show in a single year, and Viola Davis became the first black woman in Emmy history to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series .
