Dakota Parker: Full Story of Auburn Student Killed By Train

Dakota Raymond Parker, a 19-year-old Auburn student, was hit and killed by a train early on Saturday morning. His death is being ruled an accident.

Lee County Coroner’s Bill Harris said the accident happened near the railroad crossing in the 200 block of North College Street.

Who Was Dakota Parker?

Dakota was a 19-year-old freshman from Decatur, Alabama who attended Princeville Hight School where he played Football and Baseball. He was a pre-business major at Auburn University.


What Happened?

Although the investigation is still ongoing, authorities reported to the scene of a pedestrian hit by a train at the railroad crossing of 200 North College Street. Dakota was found lying between the train tracks. The police have ruled the scene as an accident.

The Lee County Coroner’s office confirmed Dakota’s identity on Sunday night.
