In case you haven’t heard, a little movie called Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice comes out next week. You heard of it?
Batman V. Superman is doing what both longtime movie and comic fans alike have been waiting for: putting the world’s two most iconic superheroes in the same film. And not only are they even in the same movie, but they’re going to spend most of the movie beating the crap out of each other. F*cking sweet. And if you’re one of those people who say, “That’s stupid. Superman would obviously kick the crap out of Batman”, then you’re an idiot. There is a precedent and history of Batman not only doing battle with Superman, but defeating him. Actually, come to think about it, I don’t think Batman ever loses. But I’m not going to ruin the surprise for you.
What I am going to do for you is get you prepared for BvS as best I can, by ranking all of the Batman and Superman movies ever made, in anticipation for their big clash. One asterisk though, I will not be including Superman III (1983) and Superman IV (1987) because they were crap movies. Simple as that.
The differences between The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel, and their respective movies, are endless. From tone, to character, to the color of their costumes, and even the different generations they inspire, the two heroes could not be more different. Batman is who were are, and Superman is who we could be. Batman is night, Superman is day. They’re opposites personified, which is why having them face off is brilliant. If you can’t already tell, I’m clearly over-the-top excited for this movie, which I think may actually change my life. Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice comes out next Thursday, March 24.
