Oscars 2016 Host: Who Is Hosting The Oscars This Year?

The 2016 Oscars will be on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. The ceremony will feature the best films of 2015, including Mad Max, The Martian, and Room. Chris Rock will be the host for the second time, the first back in 2005.

Chris Rock is an American comedian and actor, having been involved in Saturday Night Live, Grown-Ups, and the Madagascar series. Most recently, he was the producer for “Death of a Funeral,” which premiered back in 2010.

The 88th Academy Awards (also referred to as Oscars) will be present in 24 different categories. The nominations were first announced on Thursday, January 14, 2016, with The Revenant reaching the most for film at 12 nominations.
