Detroit Auto Show 2016: Must-See Photos & Hottest Cars Of The Show

2016 Detroit Auto Show cars

The Detroit Auto Show 2016 is in full gear right now and companies like BMW, Buick, Hyundai, and Kia have already gotten a jump start on the competition. Those are the car manufacturers who have made waves after just the first day.
BMW introduced a new M2 and the BMW X4 M40i. Well they actually introduced a total of five cars, but those were the two that have gotten the most attention. The M2 is a 3-litre, 6-cylinder performance coupe which goes from 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds. The X4 M40i is a gorgeous electric car that boasts 355 horsepower and can reach 60 miles per hour in 4.7 seconds. Both cars will be available early Spring 2016.
Kia‘s Telluride Concept SUV has also caused a lot of stir, mostly because people actually like it. It’s an SUV that features suicide doors and a bunch of other crazy stuff (like “energy refreshing” lights inside), but we like it.
Perhaps the biggest winner, though, has been the Buick Avista concept car. People had already been talking about the automobile previewed in press releases but the general consensus is that it looks better in person. The Verge writes, “Now that I’ve seen it up close, I can confirm that it’s just wonderful from every angle. It’s just a concept car right now, but Buick must build it. I won’t accept any other outcome.”
Finally, Hyundai impressed the press with their Genesis G90–a new luxury line of cars. The G90 is going to be the first of six G-models released before 2020. It’s a full size sedan that looks like it’d be a dream to ride or drive in.
