Rose Bowl 2016: Stanford Marching Band Turned Iowa’s Cow Into A Troll [VIDEO]

Stanford Marching Band Rose Bowl Cow

Rose Bowl 2016 ended with a 45-16 win by the Stanford Cardinal over the Iowa Hawkeyes in Pasadena, California. In the process, the Stanford Marching Band came through again by turning the Iowa mascot of a cow into a troll. [photo: Sean M. Haffey/Getty]

The Stanford band actually ended up being banned over some of their displays during the regular season. They chose the right game to return in full arrogance, though. Iowa fans were already looking at a 35-0 score when halftime came along and Sanford came out with this sacrilegious take on the Iowa mascot. (At least they didn’t follow Harvard’s lead in spelling out “penis,” or Kansas State’s phallic Star Trek tribute.)

The production also included references to dating site, and the cow was tipped. Booing commenced, and that naturally had to be addressed by Standford via Twitter

Then the band followed up by posting the script for the show on their Facebook page, and that deserves to be seen. Anyway, here’s some crappy video from the broadcast event to prove that this really happened. Trigger warning if you’re an Iowa fan — or a cow, we guess…
