Guys! We have some great news. Despite what you’ve heard about marijuana (namely these crazy propaganda ads about how awful it is to be high), it was one of the few drugs that didn’t cause any overdose deaths in 2014.
According to recent findings from the U.S. Center of Disease Control, no one died from smoking too much weed in 2014, and to make matters even better, it’s also one of the few drugs that’s never shown up in their data sets since the CDC started tracking fatal overdoses.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said for pretty much every other drug out there. Here’s what they found:
According to their findings, prescription drugs remained the largest threat, killing more than 25,000 people in 2014.
