You Won’t Believe How Many All-Star Votes Kobe Bryant Is Leading By

Kobe Bryant has been pretty bad this season, everyone knows that. It’s pretty brutal. Watching Kobe these days is like watching Microsoft try and keep up with Apple: they just look defeated. Nevertheless, in classic Kobe ‘I don’t give a f*ck’ attitude, Kobe Bryant is leading All-Star vote getter by a whopping 290,000 votes over reigning MVP Stephen Curry.

It’s deserved, though. Kobe is easily a top 10 all time player. Playing his entire career for the storied Los Angeles Lakers, Bryant has rewritten the team’s record book. Bryant has played in more games for the Lakers than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He has more win shares than Jerry West. He has played more minutes than Elgin Baylor. He has taken more shots than James Worthy and Shaquille O’Neal — combined. He is in the team’s top five in career rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, free throws, 3-pointers, fouls and turnovers. The dude is pretty good.

His scoring average is down about 10 points from what he’s used to, yet his chuckin’ up shots at a higher rate than any other player in the league. Classic Kobe.
