Since the beginnings of the NFL, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers have done battle on the gridiron. The two teams have a long, bitter history and it will be revisited again on Thanksgiving Night as the two teams match up at Lambeau Field. The Bears come in 4-6 for the season while the Packers are 7-3. However, the records can be thrown out when these two teams play one another because of how unpredictable the rivalry can be.
The Bears lost 17-15 to the Broncos last week to break their two-game losing streak. Jay Cutler has had his best season in Chicago arguably with 2,310 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and six interceptions. Injuries have slowed down the Bears though with Matt Forte and Alshon Jeffery both likely out again this week which will leave it to Jeremy Langford and Martellus Bennett to pick up the slack in the run and pass game respectively. Chicago would love to continue Green Bay’s recent losing ways with a win on their home field.
Green Bay broke a three-game losing streak last week with a 30-13 win over the Vikings. Aaron Rodgers has been his MVP self all season long with 2,482 passing yards, 23 touchdowns and three interceptions while Eddie Lacy leads the team with 408 rushing yards and had his first 100-yard rushing game last week of the year. James Jones has 30 catches for 592 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the receivers and made several key catches last week in the Packers’ win. This is a big game considering that the Packers are tied for first place in the division and would love to get a bye for the playoffs.
