The national stage hasn’t been a place that the Carolina Panthers have found themselves on much this season. On Thanksgiving Day though, the eyes of the whole NFL world will be on the 10-0 Panthers as they try to remain undefeated on the road against the 3-7 Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. This is a Dallas team that is better than their record because of injuries and will pose a big challenge for Carolina.
The Panthers pounded Washington 44-16 last week for their tenth straight win to begin the year. Cam Newton has thrown for 2,283 yards, 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions for the season while hitting Greg Olsen 48 times for 718 yards and six touchdowns. Jonathan Stewart has taken great care of the starting running back position with 764 rushing yards and four touchdowns. This will be a huge test for the Panthers on the road during a short week with the pressure of a perfect season growing bigger each week.
The return of Tony Romo helped the Cowboys get a 24-14 win over the Dolphins last week. Dallas is 3-0 when Romo starts and was 0-7 when Romo was out due to injury. Romo has thrown for 778 yards, five touchdowns and four interceptions for the season. Darren McFadden has had a comeback season at running back with 623 rushing yards and two touchdowns as the lead rusher. Jason Witten has 51 catches for 472 yards and two touchdowns to lead the pass game. The Cowboys are only two games out of first place in the NFC East and could begin a huge run in this game.
