Richland County Sheriff  Deputy Ben Fields in Columbia, South Carolina, was recorded violently dragging a high school student out of her classroom.

Richland County school resource officer Ben Fields was placed on administrative duty after an incident at a local high school that was captured on video of him violently removing an African American student from class.

Lt. Curtis Wilson, a spokesman from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said that Deputy Ben Fields will not be back at any school pending the results of an investigation.

“The student was told she was under arrest for disturbing school and given instructions which she again refused,” Lott told the news station. “The video then shows the student resisting and being arrested by the SRO.” The student has been arrested, according to the sheriff’s office.

Fields has already been sued twice in federal court, including one charge wherein another Spring Valley High School student accused him of unfairly talking African American Studnets.
