When Odell Beckham Jr. made his NFL debut last season, people had high expectations of him and as the season went on, other players started to show a strong dislike for him. Beckham addressed that before New York Giants practice on Wednesday saying “I can rub a lot of people the wrong way if they don’t know me.” (Photo by Jeff Zelevansky/Getty Images)
He said he wasn’t going to change his ways but it is something that could get him into a bunch of trouble on the field at some point though. Opposing players don’t like being shown up after a big catch or touchdown reception. Beckham admitted that he may be a big self-inflicted according to the ESPN.com story but he is going to need to learn quickly about how people are on and off the field.
The Giants are going to need him on the field and producing for Eli Manning and company. The celebrations are going to happen clearly because Beckham already admitted that they will. It is a very slippery slope however. For Beckham’s sake, he had better hope that he don’t get hurt on a late hit or cheap shot at his knees after a catch because a big mouth can cause major problems.
