New Xbox One Elite Controller: Features, Photos & Price

Microsoft just announced what it’s calling the Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller, described by Xbox boss Phil Spencer as “an elite controller for the elite gamer.” It’s basically the regular Xbox One gamepad turned up to 11, with features like trigger locks, paddles for precision in-game driving, remappable buttons, and completely swappable components.

Microsoft didn’t commit to a firm launch date for the Elite controller. But the “new Xbox One controller” is due for release in June 2016.

Xbox One Elite Controller Features:

– Standard headphone port on the base.
– Four bumper pads under the grips.
– Full customization of thumbstick sensitivity
– Customize minimum/max levels for the controller’s top triggers.
– Textured rolling pad replaces the standard D-pad.
– Ability to hot swap the aforementioned parts according to your personal configuration.
– Hair-trigger locks for more precise control.
