A 73-year-old man in California punched a bear with his bare hands to save his chihuahua from being dinner.
Carl Moore, a contractor, said he heard his dog yelp in fear and went after him with his arms raised. He estimated that the bear weighed about 300 pounds.
“Boom, I hit him good,” Moore said.
Moore served as a Marine and was also formerly a boxer as well as a bouncer in Texas. “This big right hand has sent a lot of people to the floor,” Moore said in an interview with FOX.
Recently, Moore noticed that he had been losing a lot of chickens to the bears and didn’t want his dogs to be next.
“These dogs are my babies,” Moore said.
