She was never too wild of a nightlife icon, so maybe it’s not too surprising that Nicholai Olivia “Nicky” Hilton has made it to her 31st birthday. We’re still plenty impressed that she’s made it this far without being a total joke–and, in fact, still becoming the classiest Hilton around while still constantly working the club circuit with sister Paris. Both hotel heiresses, of course, became big deals as the sexy terrors of the New York and L.A. nightclub circuit . After Nicky turned down co-starring with Paris on TV’s The Simple Life, she focused on modeling, working as a fashion designer, and launching her own hotel lines. All that has worked out (or not) to varying degrees. You already know what Paris got up to.
Lest anyone is convinced that Nicky is entirely overshadowed by her sister’s superstardom, just consider that the recent online death hoax generated a Facebook sympathy page that attracted more than one million likes. That’s at least as many people as would be moved enough by the theoretical expiration of Nicky Hilton to click their mouse one time.
Following the uproar, Nicky’s reps issued the final word on the fallacious fatality, stating: “She joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. She’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet.” Coming from a source that routinely touts Nicky Hilton as a sizable talent, that last bit seems a mite ironic.
Alas, here we are, Nicky Hilton, less famous sister of Paris Hilton. You’ve never given us a sex tape, you’ve never starred on a reality show, you never made a movie that was even half as cool as The Hottie and the Nottie, and, in fact, it seems like you’ve never done anything that anybody actually knows about. But you sure are pretty, skinny, and pretty skinny. Happy birthday!
