Is Your NFL Team One of the Most Expensive to See in Person?

Everyone knows that going to see an National Football League game is not cheap but some are more expensive than others. A new report compiled a list of the teams that charge their fans the most to see a home game and if you’re any kind of NFL fan, the answers probably won’t surprise you.

Team Marketing Report collects surveys from the 32 teams across the NFL and came up with an average price per fan just to see one game called the Adult Cost Index (ACI). The Dallas Cowboys easily topped the list with an ACI rate of $166.70 per fan just to see one game. The San Francisco 49ers, the New England Patriots, the Chicago Bears and the Washington Redskins rounded out the rest of the top five.

Another non-surprise popped up on the opposite end of the list where the Cleveland Browns are the cheapest team to watch in a stadium with an ACI of $81.95 per person. The Jacksonville Jaguars, the Miami Dolphins, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Buffalo Bills rounded out the bottom five spots. The average of all the teams rounded out to $117.81 per person, an average that rose nearly 4 percent from last season.

The only real surprise is how unsurprising the results of the survey turned out to be. The Cleveland Browns are the least successful team in the league (although you wouldn’t know it the way they beat the Saints two Sundays ago) and the Dallas Cowboys have an owner who treats every problem with money the way firefighters treat fires with water.
