Oakland Raiders Voted NFL’s Least Desirable Team To Play For

There are many teams that NFL players would love to play for more than others. It appears though that there is one team that players aren’t exactly the most happy about the idea of going to. A recent ESPN NFL Nation survey asked players about a team they would only play for if their salary was doubled. The Oakland Raiders came out on top with 23 percent of the vote. It shows how low the Raiders have fallen.

It used to be a proud franchise in Oakland with the likes of Marcus Allen, Ken Stabler and John Madden. These days though, the uncertainty of where the team will be playing next season must be taking a toll on what players think of the team. It is also true that the Raiders haven’t been making any playoff appearances in recent years either.

The Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns came in right behind the Raiders but both of those teams are in cold weather cities that get a lot of snow in the winter. There is a lot of work that the Oakland organization needs to do to show that they are a place for players to go especially since the team hasn’t had a winning season in 11 years. The silver and black is looking more black and blue in 2014.
