The Unauthorized “Saved By the Bell” Story Airs in September [GIFS]

saved by the bell

All of the seedy behind-the-scenes details of the 80’s kiddie sitcom Saved By The Bell will spill out all over your television screen when Lifetime airs the made-for-TV movie The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story.

The made-for-TV movie that will air on Sept. 1st is based on the tell-all biography written by Dustin “Screech” Diamond called Behind The Bell. The book alleged all sorts of sordid stories about the cast and crew that worked on the long running NBC show. Diamond claimed that just about every cast member was sleeping or had slept with one another at some point during the show’s five seasons. He detailed stories of rampant drug abuse during one of the show’s more famous episodes that aimed to keep more impressionable viewers away from drugs. He even claimed there was a bisexual threesome between Tiffani-Amber-Thiessen, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and executive producer Peter Engel. We’re sure that by the time it was all done, they had learned an important and valuable lesson that they audibly shared with one another.

Of course, this kind of thing is the Lifetime Network’s jam. They just love airing these seedy made-for-TV flicks that blow the lid off some kind of suburban sin or internet scandal. This time, however, we’re not as interested in knowing about all the sex and drugs on the set of Saved By The Bell. We assumed that kind of stuff was going on even when the show was still on the air. We care more about remembering how the young Tiffani Amber-Thiessen looked as Kelly Kapowski …
