Archer Renewed For Sixth And Seventh Seasons

Not that we’re at all surprised but FX has officially renewed Archer for a sixth and seventh season. The hit show continues to be absolutely hilarious, especially with this latest season as Archer Vice playing off of a Miami Vice vibe.

FX is sticking with the show for at least two more seasons, but they hinted that it’s not going anywhere, so we could have Archer for a very, very long time. The network ordered 13 episodes for each season. “Archer is one of the best comedies on television and has played a significant role in the growth of the FX comedy brand,” Eric Schrier, one of the presidents of original programming for FX Networks and FX Productions, said today in a statement. ”We’re grateful to Adam Reed, Matt Thompson and their team at Floyd County, and also our incredible voice cast, and are looking forward to supporting their work for at least two more seasons.” Archer has delivered great ratings since it started and is the second-highest rated comedy on basic cable among adults 18-49. FX continues to be a powerhouse of a network, delivering other great shows like Sons of Anarchy and Wilfred that continue to impress.

The Emmy nominated H. Jon Benjamin’s voice will always make us laugh (he also does the voice of Bob on another hilarious show on Fox, Bob’s Burgers). For now, we’re definitely excited to see Archer continue to bang his way through supermodels, take drugs, and be pretty much the most morally reprehensible secret agent to ever appear on your TV screen.
