2014 Oscar Nominated Actresses Get The GIF Treatment [GALLERY]

We’re getting revved up for the 86th Academy Awards this Sunday–mostly for the red carpet, where we look forward to seeing what some of the greatest actresses of our generation are wearing. That does not make us shallow. We’re big fans of plenty of this year’s nominees. But it’s not enough to just see these ladies in Oscar-worthy performances. No, we also have to see the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress nominees working their Oscar-worthy bods in hot animated GIFs.

That’s like the most instant form of film immortality, after all. And we’ve put together an amazing collection of GIFs featuring this year’s nominees. We guess it’s no big surprise that we found plenty of amazing images of Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams (both nominated for American Hustle). Sandra Bullock (of Gravity) has avoided nude scenes, of course, but she’s also still given us a few fabulous glimpses of her body of work. Juliet Roberts (August:Osage County) is also America’s Sweetheart for a good reason.

Lupita Nyong’o pleasantly surprised us with several hot GIFs of her fine fashion sense. You might be surprised at how Meryl Streep (August:Osage County) used to be a real hottie–although we also get a little MILFish with some lesbian love between her and Alison Janney. Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine) also came through with some very nice homoerotic imagery. In fact, the only ladies that we’ve left out from this joltin’ GIF collection are June Squibb (Nebraska) and Judi Dench (Philomena).

Ms. Squibb didn’t make her first film until she was in her sixties. We’ll note that Judi used to be a really cute babe, though, and you can check her out right here. And don’t forget Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine), either. She turns out to be a lot of fun–although you might feel a little guilty when you get to the GIF where she catches you eying her curves. This award-worthy gallery is still worth it, though…
