20 Things You Didn’t Know About Frank Sinatra

Frank Sinatra was born on December 12th, 1915–so his birthday will be a much bigger deal in two years. He’s already a big deal to plenty of guys, though. Frank was a lot more than just the most influential vocalist in American music. He’s still the go-to guy for all kinds of issues relating to style. That’s all the more amazing when you consider that Ol’ Blue Eyes passed away back in May of 1998. That’s 15 years of looking back at Sinatra–who guys were still trying to emulate when the man was in his sixties.

The editors at Esquire won’t be looking back in 15 years at what George Clooney is wearing today. But comparisons are just tacky, anyway. At least we think they are. We’re not sure what Frank had to say about that. Anyway, the important thing is that we continue to learn from Frank. It’s probably less important that we learn about Frank, but that isn’t stopping us from writing this article. So come fly with us as we look backĀ at fun facts about one of America’s most influential musical figures…
