How The 2013 Most Popular Women Post Was Produced

So how did we come up with The Most Popular Women On The Web (According To Google) 2013? Simple. Our editors came up with a massive list of over 400 female actresses, politicians, singers and public figures. On December 3rd, 2013 we searched each name in quotes (i.e. “Lady Gaga”) with safe search off in Google Chrome on Incognito mode (so as to avoid any search preferences). We then marked down the number of results and reported them to you. [Lead image via Shutterstock]

Keep in mind that the numbers you see below aren’t which women have been searched the most, rather which women have been talked about the most (via blogs, websites, newspapers, etc.). If you want to see who was searched the most, you’ll have to wait for Google to release their Zeitgeist list later this month.

And like we showed you last year, here are the 10 women who barely missed the cut:

Vanessa Hudgens – 17,300,000 Results
Mila Kunis – 16,400,000 Results
Carrie Underwood – 16,300,000 Results
