New Malificent Poster Put Angelina Jolie in the Pantheon of Sexy Disney Villainesses

One day before Disney is going to release its trailer for Maleficent, they put out the poster–and this is one witch who can cast a spell on us any day. Angelina Jolie is playing one of Disney’s most iconic villainesses, the evil witch who knocks out Sleeping Beauty. Yeah, check out the cartoony version…

The mesmerizing Maleficent has all kinds of magic up her sleeves and the poster is absolutely magnetic. A prick of a finger is a small price to pay to surrender to a sexy slumber. Jolie’s eyes are exciting. Too exciting to sleep through. This isn’t Disney’s first sexy villainess. The mouse has a history of erotic evil: Cruella de Ville in 1,001 Dalmations, Ursula and her under-the-sea spandex, The Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland, Selena Gomez. So beautiful. So evil.

The Evil Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the fairest in the land. Snow White wasn’t so bad either, but the Queen was seductive as Satan with that apple. Yzma, in the Emperor’s New Groove, is a hot manipulative sorceress. Everyone who looks on her initially thinks she’s ugly beyond reason, but once she gets under your skin, you’ll crawl to her. Madame Medusa from The Incredibles is crazy beautiful.

Disney knows that sex sells, that’s why they put subliminal phalluses on the movie posters of The Little Mermaid, and Maleficent just oozes sensual possibilities. She calls herself the “Mistress of All Evil.” That’s confidence. And confidence is sexy. She’s also got a bit of Kaa, that snake from Jungle Book, in her. But not in that creepy way.

Maleficent also features Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley and Sam Riley. It opens on May 30, 2014.
