What’s on Tap This Weekend: Raising a Glass of Boston’s Finest to Boston’s Finest [BEER REVIEW]

“What’s On Tap?” our weekly feature on beers we think you’ll like, written by By The Professor JW Faulkner. You can follow him on Twitter here (@EngProfJW).

I am not one for over-sentiment but after the past week, this brew is perfect. Undoubtedly you
have heard of The Boston Beer Company (Sam Adams) and given that they are one of the few
microbreweries that advertise on TV, you can probably name a few of their brews too. But Sam’s
Summer Ale might be their finest.

Sam’s Summer Ale is like the crazy chick who you’ve broken up with but because she is the
nastiness, freakiest, sex-puppet you know, you always go back to her. Once you have had Sam’s
Summer Ale you simply can’t get enough. Summer Ale is a wheat beer but it also tastes of light
hops and lemon; so even if you do not like wheat tasting beers, the hops and citrus create the
perfect balance.

It’s not the strongest beers on the market so make sure to buy a few extras especially if you plan
on getting sloppy this weekend. Oh, and be for warned, the chicks love this beer; its crisp, a little citrusy, and not over-powering, so buy a few more for them. Admittedly it is incredibly annoying when your chick, and even more annoying when some random chick, wants to drink off of your stash, but it’s always good when the chicks are coming to you and asking if they can have a beer. Just make sure she pays you back later with a good old fashion hummer!

But this weekend, cheers to the people of Boston and to Boston’s PD – well done!
