Barry Sanders Revealed As New ‘Madden 25th Anniversary’ Cover Winner

At last night’s Madden Draft Pre-Party, it was revealed that HOF Running Back Barry Sanders had beaten out 2013 MVP Adrian Peterson in a vote to grace the cover of Madden 25 (aka Madden 2014).

Over 700,000 people voted in the final matchup between the two workhorses, and EA Sports reports that over 40 million votes came in throughout the whole competition.

Not only is he the record holder for most games of 150-yards or more (25) Barry is also the first person to be featured on Madden cover twice. Look closely at the one from 2000, you can see him greyed out in the background.
