Hasbro, Inc. decided that its iconic game Monopoly was in desperate need of an overhaul. First, they tried a voice-only version of the game that did away with dice and cheating — that crashed and burned miserably. Then, the marketing team decided to take advantage of that little thing called “social media” and started a poll that allowed fans to replace a piece (they chose the iron) with another piece (a diamond ring, a robot, helicopter, a guitar, and a cat).
And guess who they chose?
The cat. A f*cking cat. By 31%.
Of course the internet chose a cat. Cats and porn make up about 73% of the internet.
I’m saying it right now, whoever chooses the cat as their piece is going to find no quarter if they land on my hotels.
