Employee Reprimanded For Farting On Job With 5 Page Letter Listing Times Of Farts

How was your 2012? Did you fart in your workplace on at least 59 separate, distinct occasions?

If not, you surely didn’t have as good of a year as this federal employee at the Social Security Administration who received a 5 page letter reprimanding his (though for some reason I feel like it’s a her) behavior of regularly farting on the job.

Yes, we all have to pass gas on occasion, but when you have a guy sitting next to you with a clock and tally sheet over the course of three months, I think it’s time to realize you’re pissing your coworkers off.

This entire letter is worth a read, if not only for this wonderful piece of advice:

“You said that you would try not to pass gas and that you would turn your fan on when it happens. I explained to you that turning on the fan would cause the smell to spread and worsen the air quality in the module.”
