‘Game Of Thrones’ Now Has Its Own Beers Thanks To Brewery Ommegang

Big news for alcoholic Game of Thrones fans: the HBO show has teamed up with Brewery Ommegang — a New York brewer best know for their every authentic take on traditional Belgian beer styles — to create beers inspired by the TV show.

First to hit the market, the Brewery Ommegang Game of Thrones Iron Throne Blonde Ale due in March to coincide with the season 3 premiere. Supposedly the only thing longer than the name of the Game of Throne’s beer are all of the season 3 episodes.

Full disclosure, I don’t watch Game of Thrones, but I do drink a lot of beer. So finally I can get the “Game of Thrones experience” without ever turning on my TV. Though to get a fuller experience, it’s best to drinking the Game of Thrones beer in a strip club.

No word on if the beer is any good, but Ommegang is a solid brewery, so I think you’re fine to get your hopes up.
