If you thought that there wasn’t going to be a movie celebrating the greatest successful manhunt in the world, you’re mistaken… And probably not American. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow (the same woman from The Hurt Locker), Zero Dark Thirty tells the story behind the search for Osama Bin Laden. The word on the street is that Kathryn is getting some serious dirt via some top-secret documents.
Upon first hearing about this movie, I was a little skeptical because The Hurt Locker wasn’t my favorite flick in the world. As long as you keep in mind that this is just going to be a stylized version of history, things should be alright. And in case you’re wondering, here’s the director’s explanation of the the title. “It’s a military term for 30 minutes after midnight, and it refers also to the darkness and secrecy that cloaked the entire decade long mission.”
