It’s A Little Too Early To Call Rapper Hopsin The “Second Coming of Tupac” [VIDEO]

As I was cruising some of the newest music videos to hit the web, I came across this new song by Marcus Hopson (aka Hopsin). There’s no denying this kid’s alternative message to what’s being mass produced by guys like DJ Khaled and Lil Wayne but I don’t think he’s even close to being compared with a legend like Tupac, as masses of YouTube commenters are starting to say. Has the world really forgotten how f*cking ill a dude like Tupac really was? Unfortunately, I feel the answer is yes.

This has been the first time I’ve chimed in about the state of rap for a long time but I would very much like to leave the ‘Pac references until… well, never. Why can’t we just enjoy the fact that there’s an incredibly gifted lyricist who happens to be young, black, and interested in real hip hop?
