Matt Kenseth Is Tattooing Fans With His Autograph For Free

On Saturday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct. 23, adults 21 and over will be able to sign up at the Jeremiah Weed event space in the Talladega fan zone to receive a free tattoo. A series of tattoos will be available for fans to choose from, including Matt Kenseth’s signature, a number 17, Jeremiah Weed logos and a Jeremiah Weed Lightning Lemonade can. Free transportation to and from the parlor will be also provided. For every tattoo inked, Jeremiah Weed will make a $100 donation to The Air Force Village, a charity committed to providing a safe, secure and dignified place for indigent surviving spouses of retired Air Force personnel.

COED: You’re from Wisconsin, most people think NASCAR is for southerners only, so how’d you get into stock car racing?

Stock car racing was actually big where I’m from in Wisconsin. I always kept up with and loved the speed.

COED: Can you tell us how you and Jeremiah Weed hooked up?

They appeal to bad-ass consumers and I think my fans are badass so it was a good fit.

COED: Where did the tattoo idea come from?

It came from the marketing people with Jeremiah Weed. I loved it because NASCAR fans are so passionate about the sport, the drivers and the products that support us, so what better way to spread the word than a tattoo with my signature?

COED: Is there anyone you love to drive against?

I like driving against all of them – they’re all world class drivers and great competitors. If I had to say one I’d have to say Dale Earnhardt Jr. is always fun to race against.

COED: What are you thoughts on Dan Wheldon’s accident?

Absolutely tragic – he left behind a family so that makes it even more sad. It makes you grateful for every day you have.
