10 Valentine’s Day Jams To Make Her Jump Your Bones [VIDEOS]

Photo by Spiderstock from the Vetta collection

While most of us single dudes will be hitting up the bar for some chicks with low self-esteem tonight that doesn’t mean you can’t show them a night of passionate puddin’ pumpin’ to renew their faith in love. For those with significant others, we feel for ya. Gifts are cool, but when it comes down to crunch time, MUSIC makes the people COME together (if you smell what the Rock is cookin’). In honor of this day’s mushiness (and smooshiness) resident music expert Al Jones made this ultimate love mix to make the girl you plan to gut weak in the knees. Hit it, Al!

“Tender Love” by Force MD’s

That piano riff along with a candlelight dinner and flowers will get you some good loving all night long. This song is a certified banger. A great ballad for the lovers on V-Day

“Bed” by J. Holiday

Hello, turn off the lights. If this song doesn’t set the mood, then something must be stank in the bedroom.

“Sea of Love” by Cat Power

This is a phenomenal remake of a classic song that was originally recorded in 1959 by Phil Phillips. The Honeydrippers, one of Robert Plant’s side projects remade this song in the 80’s but this version I love the best. It’s honest and beautiful and a great love song.

“That’s the Way Love Goes” by Janet Jackson

Great groove. Sexy song. Janet at her finest.

“This Year’s Love” by David Gray

Is there a prettier song than this? C’mon mannnnnn. Nope. Another one to make her tear up. This song gets ’em every time. It’s near perfect.

“All I Want is You” by U2

This is like the quintessential song that you’ll hear in a romantic movie. It’s just a classic.

“I’m Still in Love with You” by Al Green

The preacher! The pimp! The love crooner! The man. The reverend Al works wonders with this R&B love classic. Timeless song for a timeless day.

“Make You Feel My Love” by Adele

It’s very easy to get lost in her voice. Close your eyes and just listen to this song. It’s scary how beautiful it really is.

“As” by Stevie Wonder

Classic Stevie. The words in this song are a love letter. “As around the sun the earth knows she’s revolving, And the rosebuds know to bloom in early May, Just as hate knows love’s the cure, You can rest your mind assure, That I’ll be loving you always. I mean dude can write. This is probably my favorite Stevie Wonder song as well.

“Lover Lay Down” by Dave Matthews Band

Another perfect song for candle lights and long walks on the beach. Dave always gets it right with the ladies. This song is no exception. LeRoi Moore’s sax is musical heaven on this tune. One of Dave’s more romantic and memorable songs for sure.
